Beauty you feel the moment you walk in. By people who've spent a lifetime caring about the difference.
The difference starts in the hands. Mark Cravotta has been building things since before he was a designer: jewelry, ceramics, textiles, construction, cars rebuilt from the frame up. That background isn't decorative. It's the lens through which every material decision gets made, every custom piece gets designed, every almost-right gets set aside in favor of right. Cravotta Interiors has worked this way since 1996.
The spaces that come from this reveal themselves over time. Details you notice on day one hundred that weren't visible on day one. Work from fifteen years ago that still feels right. Still belongs. That's not accident. It's what happens when you design for decades, not for the moment. For the life already unfolding, and the ones still to come.
The firm has been featured in Veranda, The Wall Street Journal, Luxe Interiors + Design, 1stDibs Introspective, Wallpaper*, Interior Design, and Galerie Magazine, among approximately thirty other publications over three decades. Many clients have worked with us across multiple homes, multiple chapters. The space is what you hire us for. The relationship is what stays.
Cravotta Interiors is a high end interior design firm in Austin, Texas, founded by Mark Cravotta in 1996. The firm works on whole-house renovation, new construction luxury homes, condo and branded-residence transformation, and boutique hospitality for clients in Austin and nationwide. Custom furniture designed for the project is part of most engagements, and serious art collections are a frequent starting point. Recent work includes West 9th Street, a 1934 Clarksville home taken down to the studs; a whole-house remodel in West Austin with a new accessory dwelling unit; and Driftwood, a new construction home at a Discovery Land Company community in the Texas Hill Country. The thinking behind the work lives in Field Notes: what it costs to work with a top-tier Austin interior designer, how to choose an interior designer for a high-end Austin home, and how custom furniture is designed and commissioned. Direct answers on scope, process, and investment are in the FAQ.
Selected projects: Water's Edge, Rocky River, Barcode House, Four Seasons Penthouse, Boulevard Oaks, and Juniper.
